Zirconia / Ceramic Implants

Dental implants and restoration are placed with state of the art digital technology at an affordable costs at our office.

Dental implants are a permanent and appealing solution to replace missing or extracted teeth. They are better than other alternatives like bridges because no additional teeth need to be altered to place the new tooth. The entire implant process is performed over the course of a few months.

Dr. Jay places zirconia implants which are ceramic implants and are non-metal. Ceramic implants are biocompatible, bioinert. Since they are non-metal and made of zirconia, they do not corrode in a wet environment like metals which corrodes, rusts. In general, metals in the body causes lot of side effects. This ends up like an oral battery environment with saliva, different alloy of metals including silver amalgam restorations, gold restorations , titanium restorations. This is conducive to galvanic current in the mouth which affects the head, brain and other parts of the body. The metals also act like an antenna to EMF radiation.

Zirconia implants are the most biocompatible implants with more than 10 years or research and success rate. Dr. Jay places Ceraroot implant in her practice, which is a single piece implant system. Basically, it is a one piece implant system. This increases the strength of the unified structure of the implant with no connecting parts. The crown is placed right on the implant and this lessens the number of appointments and treatment time.

We use conebeam imaging to evaluate bone width, height and use digital technology to place implants. During the initial consult, Dr.Jay will assess the bone that will support an implant. She will make sure the gums are healthy with no disease. She will also evaluate that there is enough space available after placing the implant for future crown.

The implant also needs good bone around it to integrate better. We use FDA cleared bone and use PRF (platelet rich growth factors) which is made from patient’s own blood.

Fotona laser is used for debriding/ cleaning the area and biostimulating the surgical site for faster and healthier healing. Ozone is also used to kill any bacteria, parasites and modulate immunity in the patient.

After the implant has healed it is time to place a crown. Our office has Cad cam machine where we can design the ceramic crown for the implant. Once the restoration is completed you can return to the office to attach the restoration permanently and it feels like your natural tooth.

Ceramic implants are the best and alternative options for restoring missing teeth as it is biocompatible, non metal and integrates better with our body.

How Do Dental Implants Work?

A dental implant is a titanium rod that is surgically implanted into the jaw to replace the root of a missing tooth. Following surgery, some recovery time is required. During this time, the new implants are accepted by the bone through a process known as osseointegration. Following osseointegration, restorations can be placed on top to serve as your new teeth!

Look and feel exactly like natural teeth.

Dental implants are more stable, so you can speak, smile, and eat with confidence.

They keep your lips, jaw, and face shape and prevent further bone loss.

With proper care, implants can last a lifetime.

Your Dental Implant Solutions

Dental implants can be used in a variety of restorative procedures, from single tooth replacements to full mouth reconstructions. Whether you’re missing one tooth or many teeth, there’s an implant option for you.

Single Tooth Dental Implant
A single dental implant can replace a missing tooth without relying on nearby teeth for support. It is composed of three parts: a titanium implant post, an abutment attached to the top of the post, and a crown that connects to the abutment.

Implant-Supported Bridge
An implant-supported bridge is a great way to replace three or more missing teeth. Bridges are typically attached to one or two implants, depending on their size and location.

Implant-Supported Overdenture
Our implant-supported overdenture is a removable denture that is held in place by implants. If you wear dentures or have multiple missing teeth, this solution will improve your bite functionality and provide you with a long-term solution to your dental needs.
